TRAVELING TIGERS

The Traveling Tigers will meet on Wednesday, July 16, in Clubhouse 3, Room 9, at noon. Debra Hall and Keith Brown will continue sharing their travels through Saintes-Maries-dela-Mer, continuing their tour to traditional pilgrimage spots in the south of France.

From there, they tread their way to the Abadia de Montserrat for a night, with an after-hours choir in the cathedral. Covering the last leg of their trip, they’ll share their experience near Barcelona, completing their journey in Sitges, a quaint and delightful beach town just south of Barcelona.

In an effort to increase interaction and camaraderie between members at the Traveling Tigers meetings, in addition to the monthly potluck, the club is proposing ideas to get the attendees more involved with one another at each meeting.

For instance: two guests at each meeting will be asked to volunteer to give a short five-minute talk about an event, incident, a happy occasion, a special place, or occurrence experienced in their travels.

Another means to get everyone involved will be for the “travelers” to share their traveling knowledge through a 15-minute, 10-question multiple choice “general travel knowledge” (trivia) game. Travelers will form four-person teams, and the winning team will walk away with prizes. People are encouraged to come to the meetings and share their personal stories.
