The Friends of the Library volunteers are ready to assist shoppers to get a head start on the busiest of all holidays. The bookstore will have a Christmas in July sale from July 14-19. The window of opportunity is narrow but the range of choices is wide. There will be decorations and lights but also many one-of-a-kind objects to brighten the home.

Holiday cards are on sale for three for 25 cents, 10 for 75 cents or 15 for $1, plus special priced box sets. Christmas cards can be found on the back wall of the store and in the round card holder.

The holidays are not complete without joyful music and there is a large selection of holiday favorites on CDs.

Patrons will find many things they will need during the holidays, include gift wrap, bags, ribbon and bows.

Many nice items will make very suitable gifts, such as jewelry and watches, attractive vases, wine glasses and other pretty glassware to display holiday treats. Purses are also available, from fancy to practical, at unbelievable prices.

Books too make great gifts. Many “like-new” hard covers are priced at $1—newer releases for $2. Choose from a whole shelf of James Patterson paperbacks and other popular mystery writers for 50 cents. A whole bag of outside books is 10 for $2, which feature slightly older publication dates and many past best-sellers in great condition. DVDs are available, some holiday-themed and others for children and adults’ entertainment.
