Shuffleboard Club

The Shuffleboard Club is winding down its spring league. In a first for the club, there were three leagues for members to play in during the season. Members are meeting to decide what kind of play is wanted for the summer. No organized leagues will be formed, but many players want to continue improving their skills and socializing with friends.

The Joan LaCascia Memorial Tournament will be held on Saturday, June 14, at 3 p.m. There are still some openings for the event. Sign up at the courts building. The annual picnic on Saturday, Aug. 9. Members are free, and guests are $5. Sign up at the court building.

June 3 Tuesday night league results: Team Karen beat Team Sue 8-4. All-game winners for Team Karen were Lynne Haines, Sal LaScala and Karen Mendon. Team Bob bested team Sally 7-4.

May 29 Thursday afternoon league results: Team Anita edged out Team Jack 7-5. Allgame winners for Team Anita were Rod Leebrick and Mary Lund. All-game winners for Team Jack were Terri James and Jack O’Brien. In the other contest, Team Kay ousted team Lynne 8-4. The all-game winners for Team Kay were Kirk Smith, Kay Mount and Marilyn Blackmun.

May 30 Friday league results: Team Shel and Team Carol tied 6-6. All-game winners were Connie Terry and Millie Larsen. Team Patti edged out Team Sally 7-5. All-game winners for Team Patti were Rod Osgood and Marilyn Blackmun. The sole all-game winner for Team Sally was Randi Allen.
