American Legion Auxiliary

Rose Marie Sprague of Cypress College Alumni presented the American Legion Auxiliary’s four $1,000 scholarships to veteran students at the Cypress College’s scholarship awards ceremony on May 23.

The Auxiliary thanks LW residents for their generous support through the fashion shows, flea markets, poppies, quarter mania, jewelers sales, bingo and all other fundraisers. All money raised goes toward local veterans and veteran’s programs.

The Auxiliary motto is “service, not self ” and reflects commitment to volunteering and supporting veterans, military personnel, and their families. The Auxiliary also values patriotism and community engagement. To join the Auxiliary, contact Dianne Hart at 714-955-2885.
