On Tuesday, June 3, the Democratic Club’s popular hospitality and voter information booth will be open in the Clubhouse 6 parking lot from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Volunteers at the booth will be available to answer questions about the club’s activities as well as receive suggestions for future involvement. On Wednesday, June 4, the club will host an informal get-together “Lunch Bunch” at the Hof’s Hut Restaurant & Bakery at 11:30 a.m. New and potential club members are especially encouraged to attend. No reservations are required. For more information, email debbiewrathall@mac.com.

On Flag Day, June 14, organizers, partners, and leaders from across the county will come together for marches, rallies, and demonstrations being sponsored by the national Indivisible movement, with support from Black Voters Matter and the Declaration for American Democracy.

Orange County events are reportedly being organized in Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Irvine and Laguna Beach by the local Indivisible movement in the 47th Congressional District. The Seal Beach component will be held at the intersection of Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway from noon- 3 p.m. All LW Democrats and supporters are invited to participate.

Beginning in June, the club’s voter education sessions will be rescheduled to be held on the second Wednesday of the month in Clubhouse 3, Room 3, at 10 a.m.

The SBLW Democratic Club’s next membership meeting will be on Wednesday, June 25, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 1:30 p.m. Current and potential members are invited to arrive as early as 12:30 to socialize with other like-minded residents. The Leisure World Democratic Club is one of a number of similar Southern California clubs chartered by the Democratic Party of Orange County (DPOC). Representatives from each of these OC chartered clubs meet monthly to exchange ideas and discuss plans for the future.
