Concerned Shareholders

The Concerned Shareholders Club meets today, May 22, at 1 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The club regularly meets on the fourth Thursday of each month. All members are encouraged to attend and stay informed on key community issues.

In addition to regular meetings, the “All Hands” meetings continue weekly through June 16 (except May 26, Memorial Day) in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 6 p.m. This meeting is where members of Concerned Shareholders Club, the Where We Live Club, and LW Uncensored meet to discuss current events in Leisure World, how to support candidates, getting the vote out, planning big events like the successful Meet the Candidates Forum, finding support and like-minded leaders.

Final ballot counts will be held June 3. Active involvement, collaboration, and informed voting are guiding principles of the Concerned Shareholders Club, as the conclusion of the election approaches.

The club reminds everyone that for an election to be valid, a quorum of 33.3% of units within a Mutual must cast votes. Failure to reach quorum triggers a costly re-election process— estimated to be between $10,000 and $20,000—expenses paid directly by the residents of that Mutual.

All Concerned Shareholders, Where We Live Club, and LW Uncensored members are welcome to attend the hospitality room for snacks and to watch election ballot counts over Zoom together on Tuesday, June 3, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, from noon-4 p.m.
