Assembly of God

Assembly of God Pastor Chuck Franco will continue his twopart series on Sunday, May 25 with a sermon titled, “Follow Me,” from Philippians 3:1-17. How can one live a successful Christian life? The answer is simple: follow Christ. Even though modern society seems so different than the one in which Jesus walked, Christians are not left to their own efforts to find their own way. God has given Christians his word, the Bible, as a map, and instructs people to follow others who are headed in the right direction. That instruction places an onus on fellow believers to live out the Christian life correctly, as an example to others.

On Wednesday, May 28, at 10 a.m. the Bible study class will listen to “How and Where Did the Church Grow?” Derwin Gray leads the video lesson, and Pastor Franco moderates the discussion and class questions. How can something that started on such a small scale still be vital, relevant and widespread today, at a time so different from the one in which it began? God loves his church, and he is still moving and working in and through it today. Share the excitement of discovery with fellow students at Bible study.

Leisure World Assembly of God meets on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The Wednesday Bible study meets at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The Hymn Sing is held on the fourth Sunday evening of the month, at 6 p.m., in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby.
