Hui O Hula dancers visit LW’s Red Hat social club

On April 29, the Red Hat “Social Butterflies” Club welcomed Hui O Hula to bring dance and aloha to their club meeting. The dancers wore the Red Hat’s colors of purple and red, and brought entertainment to the Hawaiian themed luncheon. Good cheer was in the air.

Teacher JoJo Weingart returns to class from vacation and will teach a new hula, “Palehua,” by Amy Hanaiali`i and Uncle Willie K. It is a “place” mele (song) about a mountain on Oahu.

Hula classes are held Tuesdays at 1 p.m. upstairs in Clubhouse 6, and Thursdays at Veterans Plaza, also at 1 p.m. For class information,email Jojo@huiohula.com.
