First Christian Church
First Christian Church teaches from God’s word, the Holy Bible, most often verse by verse. It is a friendly church that welcomes all visitors to join in worship and explore God’s word together, “That we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine” Romans 1:12.
Pastor’s Message
Romans 2:11 says, “For there is no partiality with God.” The apostle Paul wrote that statement to both Jews and Gentiles about the righteous judgements of God. At the time the Gentiles had no written laws to be judged by, but that did not mean they would escape God’s judgements. The work of the law was written on their hearts, and their conscience bore witness to the right and wrong of their actions.
The Jews had written laws, but Paul explained, “it’s not the hearers of the law that are justified in the site of God, but the doers of the law will be justified.”
Scripture teaches that it is by faith in Jesus Christ that one is saved from his sins. For both Jew and Gentile, faith in Jesus is the only hope of eternal life.
