Supporting seniors in Orange County
SUNSHINE CLUB
Residents can learn about no-cost services and community engagement opportunities at the Sunshine Club meeting on Friday, May 2, at 10:30 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2.
Christine Tran-Le will provide an overview of the no-cost Council on Aging-Southern California services available to seniors in Orange County, including health programs, educational resources, and community engagement opportunities. Tran-Le will also highlight activities and support services specifically designed for Korean older adults, focusing on how these programs foster connection, improve well-being, and promote active aging. The session will cover key services, including those offered by the ReConnect Early Intervention Program, Friendly Visitors, and PEARLS OC, and explore how these services can help seniors live fuller, more connected lives.
Tran-Le is the volunteer and outreach supervisor for the Behavioral Health and Wellness Department at The Council on Aging Southern California. She is currently completing her master’s in public health at National University in San Diego and holds a bachelor’s degree in health sciences and gerontology from California State University, Fullerton. Tran-Le has been working with older adults since 2013, with experience in hospice care, geriatric rehabilitation services, and geriatric psychiatric care.
All residents are welcome to attend. The Sunshine Club requires no membership fees, but donations are welcome. People are asked to arrive promptly, and to quietly use the back door if they are late so as not to disturb the presentation.
