First Christian Church
First Christian Church of Leisure World teaches from God’s word, the Holy Bible, most often verse by verse. It is a friendly church that welcomes all visitors to join in worship and explore God’s word together, “That we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine” Romans 1:12.
Pastor’s Message
In the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Roman believers, he first spoke of man’s suppression of truth in unrighteousness resulting in God’s wrath. Moving in to chapter 2, Paul shifts to point out that people that pass judgement are self righteous moralists who judge others thereby condemning themselves because they are practicing the same thing.
Romans 2:3 says “But do you suppose this, O man, that when you pass judgment on those who practice such things and do the same, that you will escape the judgement of God?”
The answer to Paul’s question is no. The scriptures teach that the only ones that will escape God’s judgement are those born-again believers in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
In 1 John 1:8-9 the Apostle John wrote, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
