Celebrate peace, love and music at Community Church

On Sunday, April 27, at 3:30 p.m., Leisure World Community Church invites residents to its “Peace, Love, Music” festival. It’s time to break out the tie-dye, love beads, and granny glasses. Join church members for a groovy afternoon of ‘60s music featuring Legends of Rock and Songbirdz. Help spread peace and love throughout Leisure World. Free flower power stickers will be given to the first 100 guests. Hippie threads and dancing shoes are optional. Call 562-431-2503 for information.

There are seven Sundays of Easter, and the symbol for this Sunday, April 27, is the starfish because of its ability to regenerate limbs. The message will be based on Acts 5:27-32. Those who could do with a little regeneration or even a little re-juvenation, are welcome to join Community Church for service on Sundays.

Residents are invited to come to “Coffee with the Pastor” on Thursdays at 10 a.m. This is an informal opportunity for those who want to meet Pastor Johan Dodge.

Community Church holds worship services on Sunday mornings at 9:50 at 14000 Church Place near St. Andrews Gate. All are welcome.
