COMMUNITY KARAOKE CLUB

The blustery evening on April 2 did not deter karaoke folks from a musical evening. People come to karaoke for the music but also the friendships they make. It’s a happy place and newcomers are always welcome to join the fun on Wednesday nights in Clubhouse 1 from 5:30-9:30.

At the last karaoke night, Ren and Myrrh Villaneauva harmonized with a lovely song. Ray Geierman and Donald Horning both impressed with “April” tunes. With lots of energy, Pat Paternoster sang “Let’s Dance.” The jazzy “Boy from Ipanema” was a fine choice for Essie Hicks. Everybody enjoyed Wayne Urban’s “Okie from Muskogee.” Bob Barnum did a fine Ray Charles rendition of “Georgia on my Mind.”

Monday practice sessions are held in Clubhouse 6 from 1-3 p.m. The practice sessions offer a more intimate setting to improve an old song or try out something new.

Many people come down to Clubhouse 1 just to enjoy the music; singing isn't required.
