Leisure World Democrats joined over 1,500 attendees at Congressman Dave Min’s first town hall gathering on March 20 in Newport Beach. A report on the meeting is included in the club’s April 1 newsletter on the club’s website. In other news, Min has joined Sen. Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) in introducing the Special Government Employees Transparency Act of 2025. This legislation would create transparency and accountability for special government employees.

On April 2, 25 Democratic Club members participated in the “Lunch Bunch” at the Hof’s Hut Restaurant & Bakery. New members are encouraged to attend these first Wednesday of every month gatherings. For more information, email debbiewrathall@ mac.com.

The next monthly Voter Education session will be on Wednesday, April 16, in Clubhouse 3, Room 3, at 1 p.m. During the meeting, attendees will write postcards and make phone calls to both Democratic and Republican potential voters. The next membership meeting will be on Wednesday, April 23 in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 1:30 p.m. All LW Democrats and supporters are invited to arrive as early as 12:30 to socialize with other like-minded residents. Members can also join the meeting by Zoom. Contact lwsbdemocraticclub@gmail.com
