The America First Republican Club meetings will now start at 4:30 p.m. for a potluck meal and social time from 4:305. Members are asked to bring enough of their favorite dishes to share. The meeting will start at 5 and discuss the signage displayed at the information booth and upcoming events.

GRF and Mutual Board elections are in full swing. There are GRF candidates in oddnumbered Mutuals and a special election in Mutual 14. Each Mutual also has an election for its own board of directors. These elections are as much a political process as any election for public office, and shareholders rights are protected by California Civil Code 4515. Club members and shareholders are encouraged to exercise their rights to support candidates for Mutual director or GRF Board representatives who share their values and concerns. These upcoming Leisure World elections and voting results clearly impact residents’ daily lives and budgets specifically HOA fees, amenities and infrastructure maintenance.

For 2025, the Club’s educational goal is learning more about the U.S. Constitution and the critical foundation it provides the country. At the February meeting, the club’s own Paul “Pinky” Kartinen gave his second presentation on his book “Re-Constituting the United States Government.” The April 16 meeting will feature him delving deeper into the contents of the book and its lessons.
