Sunshine Club

Periodontist Dr. Arash Aftabi will speak at the Sunshine Club on Friday, March 28, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 10 a.m.

In addition to being a periodontist, Aftabi also places dental implants and performs general dentistry. His company is Gentle Care Dental Center ( www.draftabi. com).

Aftabi will talk to the Sunshine Club about gum disease and other infections in the mouth that reek havoc elsewhere in the body. Research shows that gum disease contributes to the development of heart disease and poses a serious threat to people with health issues such as diabetes, respiratory disease, osteoporosis or arthritis. Dr. Aftabi will also discuss dental education and the services offered by his office.

Aftabi has over 20 years’ experience in treating Leisure World residents.
