Community Church
Community Church will hold a dollar clearance sale on Saturday, March 29, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Everything must go for $1. All residents are welcome to swing by Community Church to shop for items that are all priced for $1 each.
Community Church is well into the season of kindness and to highlight this season, all residents are invited to come to “Coffee with the Pastor” on Thursdays at 10 a.m. This is a great opportunity for those who would like a low-key opportunity to meet Pastor Johan Dodge and some of the members of the church.
There are some who claim that success comes from asking over and over again, “what’s in it for me?” However, this isn’t the only way to define success or to be successful.
This week, Community Church will study the parable of the prodigal son and his brother, a story that doesn’t fit in the current economy because it is built around scarcity, and the divine paradise believers are invited to live into is built around God’s abundance. Humans may ask“What’s in it for me?” while God is inviting believers to think instead, “What’s in it for thee?”
Community Church gathers for worship every Sunday morning at 9:50 a.m. at 14000 Church Place next to St. Andrews Gate.
People can also join members for a cup of coffee in the lobby before the service starts. Church members aim to be welcoming to everyone, especially those with no previous church experience. Many who join once come back again. All are welcome to join.
