LW Women’s Golf Club

March 4 brought 37 women of the LW Women’s Golf Club to the Turtle Lake Golf Course for the weekly nine-hole tournament. Play for the day was low gross, low net and circle hole No. 6. Nancy Tye landed her ball in the circle.

Par for the course is 27. The Leisure World course has water and sand hazards. The shortest hole is No. 2 at around 54 yards. The longest hole is No. 9 at about 118 yards. The course is fun and challenging.

All Leisure World women are welcome to join the club. Dues are $30 a year. There are meetings and several luncheons. The idea is to socialize and have fun.

A flight winners: Sophia Kim, 24, low gross; Susie Kim, 24, low net.

B flight winners: Margie Thompson, 28, low gross; Zoe Pickerall, 23, low net.

C flight winners: Laura Garcia, 34, low gross; Eulia Kim, 26, low net.

D flight winners: Neva Senske, 36, low gross; Lynn Baidack and Emiko Uchiyama, 26, low net.
