Letters to the Editor
Editor:
I would like to suggest that if you cannot print something more uplifting and reader worthy than the paranoid rantings of a sore election loser, this space would be better served left blank.

I just read Lee Hoyt's letter (March 6). My advice: “Everything I don’t like is Hitler” is not a winning message.
Speaking of messages, Donald Trump held his first State of the Union address March 5, with an overwhelming 76% of Americans liking what they heard, according to a CBS News poll.
The Democrats in the chamber appeared to suffer from media-induced lunacy and looked like petulant children screaming at windmills.
In answer to the March 6 letter, cost-of-living is not due to the conflict between capital and labor. Cost-of-living is the result of fiat currency created out of thin air, chasing a $2 trillion annual federal spending deficit.
Donald Trump and Elon Musk are finding billions of dollars of waste, fraud and abuse. As a taxpayer, I’m grateful for their efforts. Republicans have also advanced legislation eliminating taxes on tips, overtime and Social Security. This will help many in LW who have struggled through the last four years of runaway inflation.
Donald Trump has closed the border and reduced illegal crossings by 97%. Joe Biden and Democrats in Congress claimed that they needed legislation passed before they could act. They lied, Laken Riley died.
Donald Trump has proposed peace in Ukraine and the Middle East. Democrats used to be for peace, now they are apparently for forever wars.
Trump Derangement Syndrome is real. Good things are happening in America and across the globe, fear mongering from the media, Democrats, and letter writers notwithstanding.
Peace out!

Now that we have a selfproclaimed king by his own admission, saying “he likes the ring of calling himself king.” But the fact is that his only talent is lying and making things up, and misleading people with his lies. It's like living in a twilight zone where the general feeling of something very strange and surreal are daily happenings— like everything is exploding out of the White House—as all hell breaks loose. Trump and his friends have been breaking the law ever since day one, and they shouldn’t be let him get away with all those terrible and extreme changes. He is positioning himself to be a dictator for life, just like his friend Putin, who is a vicious dictator killing his own people, and Trump is cozying up to that kind of person.
And they should call out the president for all the damage he is doing to this great country every single day and shouldn’t allow him to reverse 80 years of standing up against Russian tyranny and Communism. He staffed much of the government with cowards, who are ready to bend their knees to him. He sure has humiliated the United States on the world stage. Zelenskyy is a real and brave leader and the world knows it. Just read Gwenda Blair’s book on the Trumps and maybe that will shine a light on the truth.

I nearly got scammed out of $8,500 disputing a fraudulent charge to my credit card, $59.99 to Norton Antivirus. I googled Norton to get a customer service phone number. There were several. The one I picked was not Norton. It was a scammer. He said that for the inconvenience he was going to refund me $85. By mistake, he refunded me $8,500. So he wouldn’t get fired, he asked me to get gift cards to replace the $8,500. I got very nervous and stopped the process. This all started on March 3, and they are still trying to scam me. The same man called me this morning from a different number. These people are relentless. I reported it to the SBPD and the Federal Trade Commission. Two of my caregivers are young and computer savy. They helped me to block these thieves from getting further access to my computer. It is frightening to learn what they are capable of. Bottom line, handle all charge disputes with your bank. If anything does not feel right, don't do it!
