Family Radio Service Training

Those who are interested in acquiring radio communication skill in order to connect with family or to contact others in the event of an emergency are invited to attend the upcoming family radio service training on Wednesday, March 20, at 1 p.m. In the Clubhouse 3 Learning Center.

People will learn the ins and outs of family radio services communications or refresh prior knowledge for family contacts. People can also use this trianing to become a volunteer during an emergency in Leisure World.

The Family Radio Services class is provided by. Marty Williams No radio? No problem. The class will provide a few radios for people to train. During the training, residents will learn:

• Basic functions for radio usage.

• Leisure World call-in communications protocol.

• Battery care and maintenance.

• The do’s and don’ts of radio communications.

• Outdoor practice There is limited seating, so it’s first come, first served.
