The church aims to be welcoming to everyone, especially those with no previous church experience. It is located at 14000 Church Place inside Leisure World by St. Andrews Gate.
Community Church is currently in the Season of Kindness. Glitter Wednesday marked the beginning of this season for the church, but there is information about ways people can be light and love to those around them.
In conversations on Glitter Wednesday and from the message the last week, the question arose: What are believers to do when they feel they are trapped in the darkness that seems to be surrounding them?
This week the church will look at what believers should do when it seems like the sky is falling. Chicken Little is trapped in the immediacy of her perceived reality and is thus unable to see the real threat to her and companions. Community Church will see many of the same types characters in the Gospel lesson on Sunday, March 16, at 9:50 a.m.
Those who came to Glitter Wednesday or ran into a friend wearing glitter on their forehead, likely already know LW Community Church likes to do things a little differently. Weekly worship is held on Sunday mornings at 9:50, with coffee served in the narthex before service.
The church regularly has first time worshippers who return again. Those who are ready to look at the world around you and make a difference in the lives of their family, friends and neighbors, are invited to this Sunday.
People can also attend coffee with the pastor on Thursdays at 10 a.m. It provides a low-key opportunity to meet Pastor Johan Dodge and some of the members of the church.
