LW Men’s Golf League

Twelve golfers from the Leisure World Men’s Golf League challenged the Willowick Golf Course in Santa Ana on Feb. 21.

A flight winners: Clay Fischer, 2 under par, first place; Chris Lankford, 1 under 70, second; Dave LaCascia and Sam Choi, 1 over 72, third; Kyle Van, fourth; Jim Goltra and Fujio Norihiro, fifth; Gary Stivers, sixth.

B flight winners: Mike Jimenez, 2 under par, first place; Gene Vesely, second; Duke Park and Bob Munn, third.

Closest to the pin on the par-3 fourth hole was Jimenez and on the par-3 seventh hole was LaCascia. Norihiro had fewest putts in the A and Park had fewest in the B. There was only one birdie by Choi.

Eleven golfers challenged the par-71 River View Golf Course in Santa Ana on Feb. 24.

A flight winners: Sam Choi and Dave LaCascia, 1 under par, first place; Gary Stivers, even par, second; Clay Fischer and Jim Goltra, third; Fujio Norihiro, fourth; Larry Hillhouse, fifth.

B flight winners: Tom Ross, 1 over par, first place; Duke Park, second; Bob Munn, third; Gene Vesely, fourth.

Closest to the pin on the par-3 second hole was Hillhouse and on the par-3 ninth hole was LaCascia. LaCascia also had fewest putts in the A and Ross had fewest in the B. There were single birdies by Choi, Fischer, Hillhouse and LaCascia The Monday and Friday golf leagues play at four local courses. Advance league reservations are required with a sign-up sheet available at each round.
