Sunshine Club
Mobility coach Ashlyn Hairston will speak at the Sunshine Club meeting on Friday, Feb. 28, in Clubhouse 3, Room 3, at 10 a.m.
She is a mobility coach, health educator and founder of Cardinal Motion, based in Long Beach, California. She is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainer and certified animal flow instructor, and has been in the health and wellness industry for four years. She specializes in functional fitness, balance and coordination, and neuromuscular training. Hairston hosts a balance and mobility workshop biweekly at Leisure World, where students learn and develop essential skills for balance, improved mobility, and enhanced neuromuscular integration. The discussion will be on the importance of balance and mobility for independent senior living, as well as the impact of consistent exercise/movement on quality of life and pain free aging.
