LW Baptist Church will meet Sunday, March 2, at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 4 to study the biblical injunctions, “Serve one another humbly in love,” and “love your neighbor as yourself.”

Christian believers do not have just a new individual identity, but a corporate identity with other believers as jointly the body of Christ. So to grow, the assembly of believers must focus on the historically prior gifts, the equipping gifts, of the apostles, prophets and teachers, which build up God’s people by emphasis on the work of God in Christ and the word of God in Scripture. All of this must be done in the context of love, the “more excellent way” of living and of using one’s gifts. By love the Bible means giving, in all its many forms, and its well known origin, recognized in the Scripture formula, “We love, because he (Christ) first loved us.”
