The shuffleboard courts will be closed Wednesday, Feb. 12, through Thursday, Feb. 13, for touch-up work.

The shuffleboard seminars hosted by Rod Osgood and Sue Burkschab on Thursday mornings throughout January have been such a success, they have decided to continue the program through February Thursdays as well. The program’s purpose is to help players learn and practice advanced shuffleboard strategies to boost their games. All Shuffleboard Club members are welcome to attend the seminars from 9-11 a.m. on Thursdays, Feb. 20 and 27. For more information, text Osgood at 909-635-5103.

The annual Valentines potluck will be today, Feb. 13, beginning at 5 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 1. The February business meeting will be held during the potluck gathering. After a meal, the game Left, Right, Center will be played. It always generates laughter and cash rewards. Any member who did not signup for the party is welcome to attend by bringing a favorite dish to share with approximately 50 attendees.

Jan. 31 Friday morning league results: Team Patti and Team Sally competed on courts 1, 2, and 3, with Team Patti outpacing Team Sally 7-5. Team Patti had three all-game winners: Steve Edrich, Patti Nemnich and Rod Osgood. Team Carol and Team Jack lined up for the 12 games with Team Jack winning 8-4. Allgame winners included Carol Johnson and Harold Morehead for Team Carol, and Sal LaScala and Anita Giroud for Team Jack.

Feb. 4 Tuesday evening league results: The evening league reached the halfway mark of the winter season, completing five nights of competition. Team Sue, with seven wins, surpassed Team Sally’s five wins. All-game winners for Team Sue included Captain Sue Burkschab, Kathryn Ewell, and Sal LaScala. Bert Thompson was an all-game winner for Team Sally.

Team Karen raced ahead of Team Bob by winning 9-3. Dave LaCascia was an all-game winner for Team Bob while three players earned the same honor for Team Karen: Helene Neun, Lori Probert and Sandy Derouin as a substitute for an absent player.
