Congregation Sholom

Congregation Sholom will meet in person and on Zoom on Friday, Feb. 7, at 6:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9 with Rabbi Eric Dangott, and on Saturday, Feb. 8 with Rabbi Mymon at 10 a.m.

Saturday’s Torah reading will be Beshalach from Exodus. Beshalach (“When He Let Go”) describes the splitting of the Red Sea and the song the Israelites sing upon crossing it. In the desert, God sweetens bitter water and provides manna and quail. The portion ends recounting the victory of the Israelites against the attack by the Amalekites.

Congregation Sholom thanks its volunteers for making the after holiday indoor yard sale a big success and raising $630. Special thanks go to Rosie Rubin, Diane Switzky, Marlene Brown, Larry Pollack, President Murray Pollack and Linda Rich.
