Hearing Loss Association of America meets Feb. 13

On Thursday, Feb. 13, the Long Beach/Lakewood Chapter of Hearing Loss Association of America will show “Unheard Voices,” captioned DVD of Gael Hannan, from 4-5 p.m. at the Weingart Center, 5220 Oliva Ave., Lakewood.

Hannan is a renowned humorist, advocate, author and speaker on hearing loss issues. As an actor, Hannan presents one-person skits of real-life situations faced by people with hearing loss. The video provides a glimpse into the heart and truth of hearing loss in a way that everyone will understand like never before. All meetings are captioned, free and open to the public. They provide a friendly place to ask questions, share solutions and learn about technology that makes living with hearing loss easier.
