Doo Wop Club’s Black and White Night’ is Feb. 1
The theme is Black and White Night on Saturday, Feb. 1, in Clubhouse 2, at 5:30 p.m., when the Let the Good Times Roll Club will perform its rendition of the famous Black and White Night that featured Roy Orbison singing his greatest hits, along with other melodies of that era.
Singers are Joan Rosenberg, Dottie Herdman, David Noble, Erika Greenwood, Andre DuSomme, Carmen Edwards, William Young, Frank Miller, Brad Berryman, Sharon Knutson, and Martha Destra. Ben Berg on his rocking piano will start people dancing with some Jerry Lee Lewis hits. The Legends of Rock and Jon Pearlstone will complete the evening with rock and roll hits.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show starts at 6, with dancing until 9:15. People are invited to bring the beverage of their choice and snacks.
The club will provide coffee, ice, cookies and cups. All residents and their guests are welcome. The dance is free, but donations to the club and the band support the club’s mission to provide fun evenings of live entertainment for the community.
