Fashion show tickets available

AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY

Since the inception of the American Legion Auxiliary over 100 years ago, it has been the responsibility of the Past Presidents Parley to create a scholarship for a veteran going to college to seek a degree in nursing. Choosing the nursing program was decided by early founders because of the shortage of nurses in early wars to treat injured soldiers.

Leisure World American Legion Auxiliary Unit 327 set up its program at least 40 years ago at Golden West College and have been able to award this scholarship yearly. It is done through the yearly fashion show and luncheon. This moneyraising event will take place March 8, in Clubhouse 2, at 11 a.m. Fashions will be presented from Carol’s Fashions in Seal Beach and L.A. Fashions. There will be many door prizes and drawings offered. Lunch will be provided by Love at First Bite.
