Craft, art clubs invited to social Jan. 14

ART LEAGUE

The LW Art League invites all art and craft clubs to a social meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m. in Clubhouse 4. Light drinks, refreshments and appetizers will be served. People may bring their own beverages.

Art League Vice President Ramayana Baba will preside over the meeting.

People are encouraged to bring their artwork to the meeting for exhibit so that different arts and crafts genres can be appreciated.

Paintings and photographs shall be framed and ready for hanging on easels (no hanging wire is necessary).

This is also one way of making other artists aware of what other arts-and-crafts clubs are offering to LW residents.

Baba would like to exchange ideas with other artists regarding opportunities for LW artists and artisans for the purpose of inclusion and service to the LW community which is the mission of the Art League. Its purpose is also to support and promote the arts and artists through art education and community exhibition; to provide, to the extent of its resources, a center for the development, recognition and pleasure of the artist; and to foster an appreciation of the arts in the community as a whole.
