Life Options Expo to feature a variety of services and vendors on June 28
The Golden Rain Foundation, in partnership with Lucent Care and Oakmont and Ivy Park Senior Care, invites everyone to the seventh annual 2024 Life Options Expo on Friday, June 28, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., in Clubhouse 4. The following vendors will be in attendance.
• U.S. Vets and the VA Burial Center will offer information and peer advocates to answer questions and connect vets with needed resources.
• Safety First and Connect America will talk about medical alerts and pricing, low income programs, answer questions and explain how their variety of systems work.
• Abrazar, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, offers transportation services to seniors in OC, including nonemergency medical transportation. It will also provide information on the Senior Mobility Commute program.
• Those who need help with sorting through and cleaning out stuff can speak to experts in that field from A Positive Approach, Caring Transitions, Bio-One Orange and Tonka Junk Removal. They are compassionate and willing to work.
• Assisted living representatives from RownTree Gardens, Bay Towers at Bixby Knolls, Emerald Court, Regency Palms, Katella Senior Living, ActivCare Memory OC, Beach Terrace, Walnut Village, Brittany House, Oakmont and Ivy Park Senior Living will have brochures, pictures and information of their locations.
• Placement Agents from Alliance ElderCare; Local Living Solutions; and Best Life Solutions and Assisted Living Locators will provide information on what’s available, price ranges and financial assistance, and help people prepare for the future.
• Representatives from caregiver agencies, palliative care and hospice including Angel Connection, Home Matters, Cozy Comfort, Care Partners, Right at Home, Salus, Tandem Care, Acacia Health, Bristol Hospice, Attentive, Living Well, and Transitions Health will be present to answer any questions.
• UCI Health is now the owner of Los Alamitos Hospital. It will have a booth and share the latest updates and changes to come. Life Options Expo will welcome back the LW Orchestra conducted by maestro Samuel Kim. The downbeat will be at noon. People can also grab a bite to eat at Lucille’s BBQ Food Truck and a dessert from Scooter’s Italian Ice Truck.
GRF Minibus shuttle service will be available for all who want to avoid the traffic and limited parking during the Expo in Clubhouse 4.
A special on-call event bus service will be available the day of the expo, June 28, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Residents can call 562-431-6586, ext. 2379, when they are ready to be picked up. Regularly scheduled minibus shuttle service will be available all day after 9 a.m.
