Assembly of God

Service/Gathering Times: Sunday morning at 10:30 in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The Wednesday Bible study is at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The Hymn Sing is held on fourth Sunday of the month in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby at 6 p.m.

This week’s sermon: When one benefits from another’s patience, there is emotional healing, peace and restoration. When one loses patience with another, the opposite events take place. It is easy to lose patience. Perhaps with the instant gratification of answers and information in nanoseconds from computers, the experience of waiting for nothing has robbed people of the ability to exercise their patience muscles. The next fruit of the spirit Assembly of God will study next is patience. Pastor Chuck Franco will give a sermon titled “The Three P’s of Patience,” this Sunday, May 21. Imagine if even a fraction of society experienced an ability to be patient, what a change could be accomplished in the argumentative and confrontational behavior demonstrated in everyday life.

Bible Study: “The Book Acts,” by Louie Giglio, continues to bring new understanding of this often-read book of the Bible. The believers of the fledgling church in the book of Acts fled persecution, spreading the Gospel as they went.

Even today, the persecuted church multiplies at a far more rapid pace than in places where there is no persecution. People are invited to study the dynamic changes that took place then and how that impacts today’s church.

Contact: More information about the church can be found at www.lwassemblyofgod.com. Those who would like prayer, personal contact from a pastor or a DVD of the Sunday morning sermon can contact pastors Chuck and Sheryl Franco by calling 562-3574360 or emailing pastorchuck@lwassemblyofgod.com.
