Scrabble Club
The Leisure World Scrabble Club met on all four Wednesday’s in April. There were 61 scores above 300, eight of which were higher than 400. There were 31 bingos (the use of all seven tiles in one move).
Bob Ruderman led with 12 scores above 300, four of which exceeded 400. He had 14 bingos and a top score of 418. Diane Seeger topped 300 eight times and recorded two bingos. Her best score was a 373.
Four members each scored above 300 seven times. Suthy Edgar had eight bingos and two games higher than 400. She had the club’s best score for the month, a 474.
Club President Maria Giegerich had two bingos and a high score of 413. Larry Edgar had three bingos and a top score of 437.
Wanda Bemben’s best total was a 327. Marilyn Moody scored above 300 four times, the highest of which was a 368. Vice President Sylvia Makus topped 300 three times, the best of which was a 374.
Two members had scores above 300 twice. Myrna Losquadro had one bingo and a best score of 338. Sue Ann Gass’ best game was a 310. Two others topped 300 once: Donna Perkins, with a 361 and a bingo, and Kay Pushman, with a 314.
The club meets on Wednesdays from1-4p.m.inClubhouse 3, Room 5. New members, including beginning players, are welcome.
