The presentation will begin at approximately 1:30, and the topic will be Edward Hickman’s trip to Algeria and Tunisia. Traveling there in November, he visited the capitol cities along with smaller villages and uncrowded ancient Roman ruins. He had a chance to camp in the Sahara Desert in a tent and ride a camel. He shared meals with families and stayed a while in Constantine, a city built across deep valleys with many dramatic bridges.

He also got a chance to visit the wind swept northernmost point in Africa, Ras ben Sakka. What he most remembers is the generous hospitality of the people and how welcoming they were.
