Community Karaoke Community Karaoke

The karaoke audience always perks up when listening to Don Sunday. His singing voice is so pleasant and exact. And on Aug. 11, he chose to entertain the group with the Frank Sinatra hit “Almost Like Being in Love.”

Erika Greenwood had fun with country tunes such as Buck Owens’ “Act Naturally.” Martin Rozendaal livened things up with “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Going On,” while Eileen Merritt and Bob Barnum joined together to duet on “Drive.” Crooner Tino Tupas sang a smooth “Nevertheless,” and Shannon Harrison gave us a lively “Bye Bye Love.”

The crowd also enjoyed Anna Le’s rendition of the Tom Jones hit “Till.” In all, 20 singers happily took the stage several times during the evening.

Because of concerns over the Delta variant of COVID, it was a small but enthusiastic gathering. Everyone protected themselves by wearing masks and sanitizing the microphones.

Karaoke practice sessions are now located in Clubhouse 6. Anyone who wants to try out a new song is welcome from 1-3 p.m. on Mondays.

Everyone is welcome to the Community Karaoke parties on Wednesday evenings beginning at 5:30 in Clubhouse 1.
