Save Our Beach conducts a monthly beach clean-up on the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m.-noon at the beach parking lot at the end of 1st Street in Seal Beach. The next clean-up is Saturday, May 21. Parking in the 1st Street Beach lot is free during the cleanup. Check in at the blue canopy on the grass to receive a parking pass (required). Pre-registration will speed up the check-in process.

The Orange County Transportation Authority closed the northbound I-405 loop on-ramp from Seal Beach Boulevard to accommodate the freeway widening. The ramp is anticipated to reopen at the end of the month.

Editor: It remains unclear to me what we are supposed to do with light bulbs. There are many types: fluorescent, CFLs, incandescent, spotlights, LEDs and probably more.
